Homing Coming Burns Supper
The Klin Group were very pleased to be a main sponsor at Ayr Race Course Charity Burns Supper on 11th January 2014.
The prestigious event included the chairman was Joe Campbell, honorary president of the Robert Burns World Federation. The Immortal Memory was proposed by MSP Nicola Sturgeon; the Toast to the Lassies by Jim Leishman, provost of Dunfermline and former manager of the local football club; and the Reply was made by broadcaster Jackie Bird.
Music was provided by singer Alastair McDonald, piper Peter Hunt, fiddler Hannah Wyness, the pipes and drums of Clanadonia and John Carmichael’s Broadcasting Band.
A ‘substantial’ sum was raised for the event’s chosen charity, Breast Cancer Care Scotland.
Marie Macklin said ’to be a committee member of the event and a sponsor is a fantastic opportunity for KLIN. We start 2014 raising funds for Breast Cancer Care Scotland and would highlight to all that next years event will be on 24th January 2015 , with the committee choosing another well deserved charity ,which will benefit from the funds raised on the night’.
End.
